There are three basic programs to choose from: Bambini, Villaggio, and La Comunità
- “Bambini” is for very young children, ages 18 months-3 years old. Parents or guardians must accompany Bambinis and remain with them throughout the play session. Children do not need to be toilet trained, but diapering is the responsibility of the guardian. Children will explore their environment using all five senses, and develop a sense of self, including self-care, self-awareness, and self-control. These abilities and skills sew the seeds that will allow children to accomplish learning later on in the Villaggio group. Each day is a two hour session only. There is no Full Time option available for children this young.
- “Villaggio” is for older children who are fully potty trained and mentally, physically, socially, and emotionally able to care for themselves and others. Generally, children are ready around age three. Children may be moved in or out of Villaggio at any age around 3 (2.5-3.5), depending on their individual abilities. Villaggio children may stay for a half day or a full day. they do not need to be supervised by parents or guardians (but volunteer parents are ALWAYS welcome, any time, to help out in the classroom!)
- “La Comunità” are special evening and weekend courses designed to help parents and caretakers grow and develop themselves to ensure the messages children receive at home and at school are consistent and harmonious. This not only benefits the family but also the school as the children are very clear what adult expectations of them are.
